Research
CDHA’s Research Agenda articulates a national vision for dental hygiene
research investigations, collaborations, and investments.
The NOHRS informs governments and decision-makers, funding agencies,
researchers and their organizations, health care practitioners, the public
and others to focus both on emerging, priority issues for Canadian society
and on innovative methodological and technological approaches to address
these issues.
Dental hygienists are leaders not only in clinical practice, education,
and public policy, but also in scientific research, addressing important
oral health issues such as periodontal disease, program evaluation,
vulnerable populations, disease risk factors, prevention, treatments, and
more.
The Canadian Foundation for Dental Hygiene Research and Education exists
to develop a fund to enable / enhance dental hygiene research and
education in Canada, in order to enhance the oral health and well-being of
Canadians.
