CDCP FAQ

The CDCP is a federally delivered public plan for eligible Canadian residents who do not have access to dental insurance and have an adjusted family net income of less than $90,000. Sun Life is the contracted service provider who will manage the CDCP on behalf of the Government of Canada.

Oral health providers eligible to participate and who can bill for services include: dental hygienists, dentists, denturists, and dental specialists.

Canadian residents who are enrolled in the CDCP will be able to start seeing an oral health provider as early as May 2024, starting with seniors. Applications for the Canadian Dental Care Plan will open in phases.
