Membership Means More

Be part of the national professional association that does more for you: more learning, more connections, more support, more public recognition, and more savings.

Membership also means more peace of mind thanks to a comprehensive professional liability insurance (PLI) program, automatically included with your CDHA Active (Practising) membership fee. Your policy includes $1M per claim and $5M per year, coverage for defence of complaints made to dental hygiene regulatory bodies, reimbursement of criminal defence costs, pro bono legal assistance, and a two-year extended reporting period, all with no deductible. The policy also protects you 24/7 throughout your full scope of practice as a dental hygienist and is not tied to a place of employment. Get to know the benefits of your PLI policy before you need it. Visit for helpful resources and videos.

NEW! The 2024 PLI policy includes Worldwide coverage for claims brought forward and defended in Canada. For more information about this change and how it may apply to your practice, or for other questions about PLI, please contact our broker, BMS, at 1-855-318-6557 or
