CDHA Protect Professional Liability Insurance
Your Active (Practising) membership includes CDHA Protect; individual
professional liability insurance (PLI) provided through our broker, BMS
Canada Risk Services Ltd. (BMS). PLI protects you against liability or
allegations of liability for injury or damages that have resulted from a
negligent act, error, omission or malpractice that has arisen out of your
professional capacity as a dental hygienist, or if a complaint is made
against you to your provincial regulator.
Dental hygienists working in private practice—for instance as an independent
contractor, sole proprietor, temporary worker or business owner—have
additional exposures. Please connect with broker at BMS to discuss your
practice circumstances and to access additional insurance products.
