to Myofunctional Therapy & Airway Dentistry thumbnail

During this presentation, dental hygienists will be introduced to orofacial myofunctional therapy. Explore this new therapy which focuses on correcting improper muscle function and swallowing patterns that contribute to dental and orofacial issues like malocclusion, TMD, and obstructive sleep apnea. By identifying issues such as mouth breathing and enlarged tonsils, hygienists will gain a deeper understanding of the relationship between oral function and overall health and become airway advocates.
