Summary
As healthcare professionals, we are tasked with the proper assessment of client conditions and the
communication
of those conditions with clients and other healthcare providers. Furthermore, the proper risk assessment
based
upon individual client needs allows for delivery of optimal client-centered care. Implementation of the
novel
2017 American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) World Workshop on the Classification of Periodontal and
Peri-Implant Diseases and Conditions (WWDC) diagnostic system for our clients with periodontitis and
gingivitis
allows us to optimize our diagnosis, care, and the communication of client needs. This webinar will focus on
application of this diagnostic system in common real-life case scenarios to increase comfort with the
changes in
verbiage and establish best practices for client-centered dental hygiene diagnosis and care.
Note: access to this webinar will register you for Part 1:
Introduction and Part 2: Staging
& Grading.
