2021 Entry-to-Practice Canadian Competencies for Dental Hygienists

The Federation of Dental Hygiene Regulators of Canada just published the revised Entry-to-Practice Canadian Competencies for Dental Hygienists. The new competencies will serve to inform dental hygiene education, accreditation, certification, and continuing competence programs across Canada. They will also help in the regulation of the profession in areas of entry and re-entry to practice, continuing competence, and assessment of foreign-trained dental hygienists. The document is available in English and French.

Request for Proposal for Research Consultant: New CDHA Position Paper

We are seeking proposals for the design, research, and development of a position paper on aerosol-generating procedures and associated control measures in dental hygiene. The position paper will analyze and synthesize the available evidence and develop recommendations to inform dental hygiene practice, dental hygiene education, and policies and procedures. Proposals are due by 12:00 pm ET on January 31.
