Filling the Gap in Oral Health Care

Substantial disparities in oral health persist across Canada; people with the greatest needs receive the least care. In addition, untreated oral disease results in substantial costs to Canada’s health care system—a burden that cannot be sustained. CDHA strongly believes that it is critical to address the oral health and access to care issues through the development of a dually qualified, multiskilled provider. Read more

Federal Budget 2017

CDHA prepared a pre-budget submission to the Finance Committee during the consultation period. CDHA recommended opportunities to expand and enhance policy and programming that would improve Canadian’s access to preventive oral health care.

On March 22, 2017, Finance Minister, the Honourable Bill Morneau, unveiled the 2017 federal budget entitled: Building A Strong Middle Class. CDHA has prepared a summary of the budget highlighting key aspects related to health care and the dental hygiene profession. It is available here.
