is an essential
part of CCC's mission to foster evidence-based decision making.
CDHA is a longstanding member of CAPHD, a non-profit, voluntary organization that represents Dental Public
Health Specialists
and Community Oral Health Professionals from across Canada.
CDHA is an active member of the CCPH21, a national network of non-profit organizations, professional
associations, health
charities and academic researchers who share the common goal to improve and sustain the health of Canadians.

The Cochrane Oral Health Global Alliance delivers priority reviews in a timelier manner by increasing
methodological capacity
at the editorial base and works in a strategic way with international experts. CDHA participates in CGOHA’s
annual meeting
to discuss priority setting for the reviews.
Commission on Dental Accreditation of Canada (CDAC) acts as a partner with the profession, educational
institutions and health
facilities to protect and further the public interest through the accreditation process.
Organizations for Health Action is a coalition of national health, health care and consumer organizations dedicated to
protecting and strengthening Canada's health care system. It represents more than half a million providers and consumers
of health care.
CDHA monitors Health Canada's advisories, warnings and adverse reaction newsletters for issues that are
pertinent to dental
hygienists. CDHA also partners with Health Canada to develop and deliver projects that will improve the oral
health of
Canadians and advance the dental hygiene profession.
CDHA works together with IFDH to unite dental hygiene associations from around the world in a common cause of
promoting oral
health and advancing the dental hygiene profession.
The Federation of Dental Hygiene Regulators of Canada (FDHRC) is a federation of organizations which have a statutory responsibility to regulate the profession of dental hygiene within their respective provinces.
CDHA meets with the Chief Dental Officer (OCDO) to discuss oral health issues in Canada, to determine areas
for collaboration,
and to promote dental hygienists as leaders.
