Education Pathways (transfer credits)

CDHA strongly supports continuing education. This document listing articulation and transfer agreements between Canadian dental hygiene programs and Canadian and international universities, will help you to develop your educational pathway. Please check with the articulating/transfer institution prior to submitting a program application.

Algonquin College

Subject to meeting admission requirements i.e. recognized Certificate, Associate Diploma, Diploma and Associate Degree in dental therapy and/or dental hygiene, and at least two years professional experience as a dental therapist and/or dental hygienist.
Davenport University (United States)	Bachelor of Business Administration – Health Services Administration	Advanced standing of 60 credit hours towards a 4-year degree of a minimum total of 120 semester credit hours.
Thompson Rivers University (Canada)	Bachelor of Health Sciences	Maximum advanced standing of 60 credits with a minimum GPA of 2.0.
Wilfred Laurier University (Canada)	Bachelor's Degree	Graduates with a minimum 75% grade average are eligible to receive 6 transfer credits towards a 20 credit program.

APLUS Institute

		APLUS Institute graduates have been accepted into the University of British Columbia dental hygiene degree completion program at the third year level. APLUS Institute graduates are eligible for acceptance into the Dalhousie University, University of Alberta and University of Manitoba dental hygiene degree completion programs if they meet specific additional admission requirements.

Degree completion in 2 years available through Advanced Summer Acceleration Program at Laurier Brantford.
