It’s a historic time in Canada for the oral health of the country’s most vulnerable populations. Yesterday, on May 1, many independent dental hygienists began providing treatment for eligible seniors under the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP).

Budget 2024: Improving Access to Oral Health Care in Rural and Remote Communities

The Canadian Dental Hygienists Association (CDHA) commends the federal government’s commitment to expanding the Canada Student Loan Forgiveness Program to dental hygienists working in rural and remote communities, among other health care and social services professionals.
