2024 National Conference

2024 National Conference FAQ

General Questions

  1. How do I get my employer to subsidize my attendance to the conference?

CDHA understands the economics of subsidizing professional development and acknowledges that a healthy and respectful workplace is one that offers the opportunity to request compensation for educational activities. For this reason, CDHA has developed a request letter template and a simple cost analysis worksheet to help you self-advocate, justify your expenditure, and demonstrate how your attendance will enhance your clinical practice!

  2. How do I book a hotel room for the conference?

A discounted room block is available at the Niagara Falls Marriott on the Falls for registrants and exhibitors until Monday, September 16, or until the room block sells out. Reservations may be made online or by calling 1-877-353-2557 and quoting convention rate “AJC”.

In addition, CDHA members can use their existing member discount to receive 5% to 10% off car rentals at Enterprise, National or Alamo! Additional details are available online.

  5. How many CE credits will I get from attending the conference?

You could earn more than 10 professional development hours! CDHA professional development is typically recognized by your regulatory authority and can be used towards your quality assurance requirements, however, continuing education “credits” are determined by the regulator. CDHA members can contact their provincial regulatory body to find out how many hours/credits they are eligible to receive for attending the conference.
