CDHA Sponsors Gift from the Heart Campaign

CDHA is pleased to announce a partnership with the Gift from the Heart (GFTH) campaign and the Oral Cancer Foundation, which will support the distribution of promo kits to this year's GFTH participants. The kits will be mailed by CDHA to all participating clinics on January 19, so if you haven’t registered yet for the February 7 event, don’t wait any longer.

Final Reminder: CDHA Board Awards

CDHA’s board of directors celebrates exceptional volunteer service through its award program, recognizing members who have made outstanding contributions to the dental hygiene profession, either in their communities or nationally through the association. Nominations will be received for CDHA’s Award of Merit, Distinguished Service Award, and Life Membership Award until January 30.

The spring 2015 Oh Canada! FOCUS section on “Improving the Client Experience at Clinical Appointments” urgently requires submissions. We also require authors for our regular theme columns. Articles from 500 to 800 words in length are required no later than February 23. If you are interested or can recommend a suitable author, please contact Angie D’Aoust at marketing@cdha.ca

Don’t Let Stress Take Control!

Is there more to stress management than learning to relax? Most people feel that they have higher than normal levels of stress and pressure. As a CDHA member you have access to many FREE online courses, including “Taking Control of Stress,” offered through Homewood Human Solutions. This course focuses on key stress management skills, including managing thinking and feelings, time management, increasing positive experiences, getting active, and relaxation.
