New Advocacy Toolkit for Members

Successful advocacy depends on local efforts by members to deliver a strong message to their elected representatives on issues affecting their community. To prepare dental hygienists for this advocacy work, CDHA has developed a new advocacy toolkit.

Unmasking Our Dental Hygiene Superhero!

Our competition grand prize winner and Canada’s dental hygiene superhero is Donna Lee! She is joined by two deserving honourable mentions: Mary Ito and Lisa Chovin. The summer issue of Oh Canada! magazine will feature the names of our finalists and excerpts of their inspiring stories. Over the coming months we will continue sharing many of the amazing stories we received.

CDHA Summit: Registration Now Open!

Join us this fall in Charlottetown, PEI, for the next CDHA summit. The leadership session on October 12, sponsored by PHILIPS, will feature presentations on respectful workplace culture, common and costly leadership blunders, how to use social media, and advocacy. During the professional development session on October 13, sponsored by Johnson & Johnson, learn more about respectful workplace culture and alternative dental hygiene practices, and then enjoy lunch along with CDHA’s annual general meeting.

Manager of Professional Development

CDHA is looking for a dental hygiene educator to join our staff team in Ottawa as manager of professional development. This member must have a sound knowledge of adult education principles, experience in project management, and the ability to strategically plan a suite of professional development offerings to meet the needs of CDHA’s national membership.
