National Public Awareness Campaigns

In conjunction with National Dental Hygienists WeekTM (NDHWTM), CDHA is once again running a national advertising campaign to educate consumers about the dental hygiene profession. Its theme, “Dental Hygienists…Your Partners in Prevention,” will be featured in print advertisements in 28 major metropolitan newspapers covering every province and the Yukon, as well as in supporting digital promotions, during NDHWTM. Due to popular demand, two more interim stabilization therapy (IST) orientation sessions will be offered in Ontario this spring. Canadian Competencies for Baccalaureate Dental Hygiene Programs

CDHA is proud to announce the release of the Canadian Competencies for Baccalaureate Dental Hygiene Programs, 2015. Baccalaureate dental hygiene education is a critical step along the pathway from diploma to doctoral programs within Canada and internationally. While the dental hygiene profession has national documents pertaining to entry-to-practice abilities, there are currently no national standards for baccalaureate education.
