Newfoundland and Labrador dental hygienists association

Newfoundland & Labrador Dental Hygienists Association

The Newfoundland Dental Hygienists Association was first formed in the 1960's and a formal constitution was ratified in the 1980's. On June 8, 2002, the association officially became the Newfoundland and Labrador Dental Hygienists Association (NLDHA) and in 2013 dental hygienists became self-regulated under the Health Professionals Act.

The NLDHA is a non-profit organization representing the interests and needs of dental hygienists in the province.

Our goals are to provide for the professional and fellowship needs of dental hygienists in Newfoundland & Labrador. We aim to advance the awareness of the profession and contribute to the health of the population of the province.
