• Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) program: First Nations and Inuit Health Branch: Annual Reports [REPORT]
  The NIHB program provides registered First Nations and recognized Inuit with coverage for a range of medically necessary health benefits including prescription drugs and over-the-counter medications, dental and vision care, medical supplies and equipment, mental health counselling, and transportation to access medically required health services that are not available on reserve or in the community of residence. A fiscal year runs from April 1 to March 31. Includes NIHB dental expenditure and utilization data.

Authors lay out why oral diseases have persisted globally over the past three decades, despite scientific advancements in the field, and why prevalence has increased in low-income and middle-income countries, and among socially disadvantaged and vulnerable people, no matter where they live.
