Silver-containing products have long been used as antimicrobial agents in many medical applications, including dentistry. Silver diamine fluoride (SDF) has been used for caries management in other countries for more than 80 years, gained acceptance
by the US Food and Drug Administration in 2014, and was approved by Health Canada in 2017. During this webinar, Dr. Scott Tomar will discuss the mechanisms by which SDF works, the clinical indications for SDF, and its method of application
based on the scientific literature.
