November 8, 2006 CDHA presented a brief to the House of Commons Standing Committee on Human Resources, Social Development, and the Status of Persons with Disabilities. CDHA described the links between oral health and overall health, including the link between periodontal disease and health risks such as cardiovascular and respiratory disease, diabetes, and pre-term low birth weight babies.
