COVID-19 Surveys

CDHA conducted a COVID-19 Member Impact Survey between September 8 and 22, 2020, seeking to understand how members have been affected by the pandemic now that many have returned to work. This video and downloadable resource provide an overview of the results and examines how COVID-19 has affected the lives and careers of dental hygienists from coast to coast.

In November 2020, CDHA conducted a rapid poll of independent dental hygienists across Canada that looked at current experiences with PPE access and costs. Results reveal which PPE items are the most difficult to access, which PPE cost the most, whether independent dental hygienists have been able to access PPE from the provincial health system, and much more.

CDHA conducted a quick poll on Vaccines between January 8 and 12, 2021 to gain some insight on vaccine hesitancy issues with our members. The full results are available for you to download. Based on the responses obtained, evidence-based information on vaccine safety and efficacy are in the process of being developed.

Between April 26 and May 2, 2021, CDHA replicated the January 2021 quick poll on Vaccines to determine the current level of vaccination and issues pertaining to vaccine hesitancy with our members. The full results are available for you to download. The results will help CDHA continue to advocate for access to vaccines for members and address vaccine hesitancy.
