Tara Scullion, BSc, RIBO
Tara is a Registered Insurance Broker and Associate at BMS Canada, a specialist broker that provides insurance coverage
and risk management services to healthcare and regulated professionals across Canada and globally. As the broker on the
CDHA member insurance program, Tara and the BMS team work with CDHA to deliver evidence-based industry data to dental
hygiene members. Through its international teams, BMS also works with the Australian and New Zealand Dental Hygienist
Associations, collectively representing over 20,000 dental hygienists and students.
Ruba El-Sayegh, HBSc, LLB
Ruba El-Sayegh is a partner in the advocacy department of Gowling WLG. Her practice focuses on civil litigation as well
as regulatory/administrative law with an emphasis on health law, medical defence, and professional liability. Ruba has
appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Divisional Court, the Ontario Court of Justice, and
Small Claims Court, and she has also appeared as counsel at Coroner's Inquests. She regularly appears before various
health-related administrative tribunals, the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board, and the Human Rights Tribunal
of Ontario.
