Niagara has become famous for its wines. Twenty-five vineyards dot the landscape just 15 to 20 minutes outside Niagara Falls, in quiet and charming Niagara on-the-Lake.

There is no shortage of free things to do in Niagara Falls!

  • Dufferin Islands is a popular area made up of 10 acres of paradise. This quiet and secluded area contains several islands connected by bridges and footpaths.
  • Niagara Falls Canada Falls Illumination can be viewed from near and far every night of the year. The three waterfalls that make up Niagara Falls are illuminated in glowing colours creating a stunning vista.
  • Niagara Falls History Museum offers free admission every Thursday evening from 5-9 pm. Explore Niagara Falls’ rich history including the pivotal Battle of Lundy’s Lane.
  • Niagara River Recreation Trail was constructed in 1986 as a paved path for non-motorized traffic stretching some 53 km along the Canadian side of the Niagara River.
  • Niagara Parks Botanical Garden is just a 10-minute drive north of Niagara Falls. This beautiful garden setting is home to the Butterfly Conservatory.
