Here’s what your colleagues had to say about our past perio workshops led by Dr. Geisinger:

This was the best course on perio classification that I have attended.
Dr. Geisinger explains concepts clearly and concisely, takes the time to ensure understanding, and is very animated and entertaining to listen to. Great workshop!

Summary

To understand the systemic microbial and inflammatory burden of periodontitis, accurately diagnosing periodontal disease is of utmost importance. The 2017 AAP/EFP World Workshop on the Classification of Periodontal and Peri-Implant Diseases and Conditions (WWDC) represents a paradigm shift in periodontal care, placing periodontal and peri-implant diseases on a continuum. It offers a common language between oral health care providers and their clients.

This workshop will address how you can incorporate the periodontal disease classification into dental hygiene practice through case presentations, audience feedback, and Q&A. It will also discuss best practices for calibrating the dental team using the 2017 AAP/EFP WWDC as a communication tool to optimize client understanding, care, and treatment outcomes.
