Summary
Would you like to enhance your spirit of inquiry in clinical practice? This presentation, originally released during CDHA’s 2021 Virtual Conference, will focus on the application of the evidence-based practice model using an authentic dental hygiene clinical example: therapeutic oral rinsing. Participants will learn how to follow the five steps of evidence-based practice, from identifying a practice problem to accessing, appraising, applying research to clinical decision making, and ultimately evaluating the outcomes. While offering a perspective on the latest research in therapeutic oral rinsing, the presentation will emphasize a shared decision-making approach to better engage clients and enhance their participation as partners in their oral health care.
Our Translating Uncertainty in Evidence-Based Practice webinar is a recommended prerequisite.
