Call for Abstracts

CDHA and the American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA) look forward to welcoming delegates at our joint conference October 28–30, 2021, in Niagara Falls, Ontario. CDHA is accepting abstract submissions for oral and poster research presentations from November 25, 2020, to March 25, 2021, inclusive. Abstracts should report on findings with the potential to advance the dental hygiene body of knowledge.

Note that this button will take you to a new abstract submission site hosted by CadmiumCD. Submitters will be directed to create a login with CadmiumCD. This login will allow you to create multiple abstract submissions as well the ability to modify abstract submission(s) up until the submission deadline.

Goals of scientific program

  1. Share original dental hygiene research with colleagues
  2. Identify topics of common interest to foster collaborative research efforts
  3. Explore new ideas for furthering dental hygiene research efforts
  4. Assess how the presented research supports dental hygiene research agendas

Important dates

  • November 25, 2020 – Call for abstracts submissions opens
  • March 25, 2021 – Submission deadline
  • Mid-May 2021 – Notification of decisions
  • June 15, 2021 – Deadline for completed results linked to accepted abstracts with in-progress research
  • October 28-30, 2021 – Joint conference

COVID-19 Conditions

Due to the rapidly evolving nature of the COVID-19 pandemic and related government regulations, the conference program and delivery method is subject to change. As required, health protection measures and strategies will be implemented to minimize public health risk. Strategies may include, but are not limited to, physical distancing, room layout adjustments, disinfecting and sanitizing practices, protective barriers, and use of personal protective equipment. Food and beverage services will be carefully organized and subject to change as guided by public health authorities. Should a virtual or hybrid approach to conference programming be required, delegates will receive due notification.
