Director of Dental Hygiene Practice

The Canadian Dental Hygienists Association (CDHA) is looking for an experienced dental hygiene leader to join our staff team as the director of dental hygiene practice. Do you know someone who fits the bill? Could that person be you?

As a member of CDHA’s senior leadership team, the director of dental hygiene practice plays a pivotal role in the advancement of the dental hygiene profession.

As a qualified candidate, you are a registered dental hygienist with an undergraduate degree and, ideally, a master’s degree. You have a successful track record and expert knowledge of dental hygiene practice, with a minimum of eight years of experience as a dental hygiene professional, at least three of which have been in a traditional practice setting. Recognized for your commitment to and expertise in dental hygiene and overall oral health, you are a strategic thinker with a minimum of five years of experience leading a staff team in the development and implementation of programs. You have a broad network of subject-matter experts, upon which you will draw as you establish and oversee essential member-volunteer committees and stakeholder relationships. You are an outstanding communicator, adept at the preparation and presentation of briefs, reports, and proposals, and are able to analyze and synthesize complex information. You are organized, passionate, energetic, and flexible in adapting to changing and competing priorities.

CDHA offers a competitive and comprehensive compensation and benefits package. Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The position is full time, indeterminate.

CDHA’s office is located in beautiful Ottawa, Ontario. Candidates resident in Ottawa are preferred, but not essential.
