The Canadian Dental Hygienists Association (CDHA), a national not-for-profit association representing the professional interests of more than 34,000 dental hygienists, is currently seeking a resourceful, knowledgeable, experienced, and well-organized Administrative Coordinator to join our dedicated staff team.

Administrative Coordinator, Professional Development (1-year contract, hybrid)

As a member of CDHA’s dental hygiene practice team and reporting to the Manager of Professional Development, the Administrative Coordinator provides advanced administrative support to the Manager of Professional Development. This role involves coordinating administrative tasks, handling communications, liaising with various departments and partners, and ensuring efficient and effective operations of professional development (PD) activities. The Administrative Coordinator is a critical thinker with strong interpersonal and organizational skills, proactive, detail- and team-oriented, and skilled in dealing with multiple priorities. The Administrative Coordinator also maintains a strong knowledge of CDHA’s strategic plan, policies, practices, and projects.

At least 5 years of progressively responsible office experience are required with a college diploma in a related field (e.g., office administration). Bilingualism (English and French) and previous experience in a professional organization or association will be considered assets.

As a qualified candidate, you have superior written, oral, proofreading, and time management skills in addition to the above requirements. You also have a solid knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite. and strong organizational and time management skills.

CDHA offers a competitive and comprehensive compensation and benefits package. The salary range for this position is $56,928 to $66,974; remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

This is a 1-year contract, hybrid position with a minimum work week of 37.5 full-time hours, Monday through Friday; occasional evening and weekend work will be required.
