Healthy Workplace Survey Results

In fall 2023, we conducted our second Healthy and Respectful Workplace Survey to collect data on the experiences of dental hygienists in their work environments over the last 12 months. Although the most common issues involving dentists, managers, and co-workers remain the same, it is encouraging to learn that policies on bullying, harassment, abuse, and violence are being adopted by a greater number of workplaces, as the data show that dental hygienists with workplace policies in place experience lower incidences of mistreatment. Download the reports in English or French and make time to watch our video report highlighting key findings!

Volunteer Week

Volunteers Bring Heart to Canada’s Communities

National Volunteer Week runs from April 14 to 20. This year’s theme, “Every Moment Matters,” highlights the importance of volunteers and the contributions they make to the inclusivity, strength, and well-being of our communities. CDHA thanks and celebrates all those who assist the association, the profession, and their communities by promoting the importance of dental hygiene and oral health for better overall health.

IFDH Survey

IFDH Survey #9: Orthodontic Hygiene

The International Federation of Dental Hygienists (IFDH) is fielding its ninth survey, which will help us better understand global dental hygienists’ practices around orthodontic hygiene. Please take a few minutes to complete this anonymous survey by Friday, April 26. A summary of results will be jointly developed by IFDH and P&G to post online, share via social media, and use in educational materials.
